Welcome

The group meets at Garfield Community Centre, 64 Garfield Rd, London, SW11 5PN every first and third Wednesday of the month from 7:00 till 9:00.  There is a small £2 charge per person to cover the cost of the room.

We have about ninety members: poets, novelists, playwrights, scriptwriters, historians, philosophers.  It is a rich mix and makes a lively evening.  We welcome writers from all walks of life as everyone has a point of view, and the more varied these opinions, the richer the experience.

Please do join us.  Even if you are just starting out and are just interested in writing, but don't have anything to read, come along and experience the evening.  As sometimes the best motivation to writing is to hear how others got there before you.  We have an Original Writer GoogleGroup which we use to keep in touch and post stories.  And if you are curious, then you can meet a few of the group at our Facebook group.

At the end of the day, our ambition is to make these evenings enjoyable and inspirational. Otherwise, what's the point in coming!

Please email me if you wish to join us for one of these evenings.
